As we enter our next stage of growth, we’re looking for exceptional people who can help us build the processes and organisation needed to scale.The RoleWe’re looking for a Business Operations Associate to join the COO Office, reporting directly to our COO.You will help manage the activities that keep Syllotips running and enable the company to scale. Your work will span business operations, finance, recruiting, people processes, contracts, grants, company planning, and internal workflows.This is a highly hands-on role. In the same week, you might coordinate candidates and external advisors, check invoices and contracts, prepare an OKR meeting, support a strategic project, or automate a recurring process.We’re looking for someone who combines sharp thinking with strong execution. This is not a purely strategic position: you should be willing to understand processes in detail, run them reliably, and then find smarter ways to improve them.What You’ll DoSupport the COO on company-wide priorities and cross-functional projects.Coordinate recurring operational activities, deadlines, documentation, and external stakeholders.Support finance, recruiting, People Operations, contracts, grants,
and public procurement.Help manage company OKRs, planning cycles, internal meetings, and retreats.Identify inefficient or unclear processes and turn them into simple, repeatable workflows.Use AI, no-code tools, and automations to reduce manual work.Take ownership of new or urgent operational problems and drive them to completion.Who You AreYou have 2–4 years of experience, ideally in an early-stage startup as a Founder Associate, Business Operations Associate, Operations Specialist, or in another cross-functional role.You hold a degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.You are bright, curious, highly organised, and quick to understand unfamiliar problems.You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you don’t just identify problems or follow instructions—you actively find and implement solutions.You understand startup life: priorities change, responsibilities evolve, and no task is beneath you when it helps the company move forward.You are reliable, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.You are AI-savvy and regularly use AI tools for research, analysis, productivity, or automation.You are confident with Excel or Google Sheets and communicate fluently in Italian and English.You are discreet and comfortable handling sensitive financial, legal,
