Tech Project Manager – Individual Giving Location: Rome, Italy. Contract: Regular consultant, 11‐month assignment.
The Technical Project Manager will lead the delivery management system for the IG Tech & Product team. The role ensures that work is prioritized, planned and executed effectively to support the Individual Giving team's business objectives. It requires a shift from coordination to ownership, focusing on governance, capacity planning, stakeholder alignment, vendor management and continuous improvement of delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities Own and manage the project delivery management system, establishing structured processes, planning cadences and execution discipline.
Lead intake, triage, prioritization and capacity planning to focus the team on high‐value initiatives and prevent overload.
Act as the main interface with internal stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication of priorities, risks and progress.
Coordinate external vendors as integrated partners, monitoring performance, managing risks and ensuring delivery alignment.
Continuously improve delivery practices, identifying inefficiencies, implementing governance enhancements and supporting data‐driven decision making.
Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans, fostering an accountable and collaborative culture.
Qualifications & Experience University degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Business Administration, STEM or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5years of progressively responsible project or delivery management experience, preferably in technical or digital environments.
Experience managing complex projects or portfolios, prioritization, workload coordination and risk tracking.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery models and with project‐management tools such as Asana, Jira, Monday.com or Trello.
Experience in humanitarian, NGO or multi‐stakeholder settings is an asset.
