You will combine technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering expertise to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software.

Accountabilities:

As an Ubuntu Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams, defining technical direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will remain technically engaged while supporting engineers’ growth, improving processes, and contributing to the wider open source ecosystem.
- Lead and develop engineering teams focused on improving Linux user and developer experiences.
- Own technical roadmaps, execution plans, and delivery outcomes while aligning engineering work with broader product strategy.
- Guide architecture decisions, software development practices, code reviews, and engineering standards.
- Build and maintain high-quality, performant software using technologies such as Rust, Go, Python, Flutter, or C/C++.
