The researcher will join the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione at the University of Padova to work on the HEREDITARY Horizon Europe project. You will investigate fairness-aware federated learning approaches for multimodal biomedical data and contribute to WP4, focusing on bias and representational fairness.
Responsibilities include formalizing fairness criteria, designing bias detection and mitigation algorithms, and applying methods to tabular, genomic, and medical imaging data.
