Job Purpose and Summary

Within our Retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise by ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off workstations for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, offering immunizations and other services, and solving or escalating patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law, such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting‑bin inventories.




- Support a high‑performing team by embracing a growth mindset, seeking feedback, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and voluntarily travel to other market stores to work shifts as required.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Follow CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, compliance with controlled substance dispensing and record‑keeping, and the protection of patient privacy and security.
- Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and (where permitted) voluntary staffing of off‑site clinics, subject to required training and certification.
