Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self‑motivated Junior Project Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in the Engineering Department. The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli – IT.
Plan, monitor and coordinate engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, including product design, verification and validation
Coordinate project teams across different engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with input requirements, applicable regulation and standards, and assigned budget, schedule,
and quality targets
Prepare project documentation (both during bid and execution phase), including technical proposals, engineering plans, design review reports, etc.
During bid phase, prepare and maintain the Product Data Sheet (PDS), to allow the Quotation Manager to collect and consolidate the industrial product cost to be provided to the Bid Manager
Ensure the submission of System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for supplier engagement
Supported by the Requirements Engineer, ensure requirements management throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, by properly maintaining the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), duly tracing requirements compliance, alongside verification and validation evidences
Act as the primary technical interface with the customer, ensuring the collection & delivery of project documentation (duly prepared and verified by relevant WPLs)
