Forwarding Customer Service / Operator

Milan, Italy

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for handling both customer service and operational tasks within the forwarding business.

1. Forwarding Operations

You will manage end-to-end import/export operations for both air and ocean freight.

- Handle import and export shipment operations
- Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, and service providers
- Manage transportation schedules
- Arrange customs clearance and delivery
- Liaise with overseas offices within the company

2. Customer Service

Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding transportation matters.

- Respond to customer inquiries
- Provide shipment status updates and follow-ups
- Prepare quotations and related documentation
- Coordinate with customers on various requirements
- Collaborate with internal departments

RequirementsMandatory

- Experience in customer service or operations within the forwarding industry
- Practical experience in import/export operations




- Ability to work independently and contribute immediately

Preferred

- Experience handling both air and ocean freight
- Experience working in Japanese or Japanese-affiliated companies
- Japanese language communication skills

Employment Conditions

- Salary: €30,000 – €36,000 per year (12 months + 2 months premio)
- Working Style: 5 days per week in the office
- Benefits: Transportation expenses provided
