Job Description
We're searching for an experienced technical leader with a strong, pro-active drive for results in project execution.
Primary focus will be to lead a global team of test managers across multiple organizations of the whole Stellantis Software organization, including full ownership of the validation strategy, priorities and operational gate-decision making process of SWE for large new platform projects.
Being the functional lead of multiple diverse and globally distributed validation teams, this manager is responsible to develop and execute a globally aligned strategy across multiple SW validation teams.
He or she installs a common mindset to pro-actively drive software quality into all products.
Steering the overall Software Engineering validation process, defining timelines, requesting regular report outs and escalating issues within and outside the organization will all be part of this managers responsibility.
The manager works closely with SW architects, developers, virtualization and integration teams as well as downstream engineering organizations, both within Stellantis and with various partners.
The validation of the ADAS, vehicle-body, infotainment, telematics and connected services domains are driven by this position.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Job Responsibilities Include
Ensure timely and high-quality execution of validation activities across all software domains.
Monitor and optimize validation workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives and lean validation practices.
Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms for validation progress, KPIs, and issue tracking.
Collaborate with program and release management to align validation deliverables with project milestones.
Manage risks and escalations related to validation execution, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on program timelines.
Define the overarching test strategy for software validation across multiple domains such as infotainment, ADAS, connectivity and propulsion.
Develop domain-specific validation plans that align with system requirements, safety standards, and customer expectations.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage through a combination of manual, automated, and system-level testing.
Oversee the implementation of test environments, including HIL/SIL setups and simulation platforms.
Align validation planning with ASPICE, ISO *****, and other relevant automotive standards and regulations.
Lead and develop a high-performing validation organization, including multiple Test Managers and domain experts.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence within th organization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
Profile
Qualifications
Master/Diploma in Electrical, Communications Engineering and/or Computer Science
Minimum 10 + years of experience in Automotive Industry
Minimum 5+ years of Team Leadership (minimally 3 years disciplinary leadership)
Strong project experience and technical background across multiple domains, such as Propulsion, Infotainment, Connectivity, Platform Services and other
Good knowledge of state-of-the-art SW development, integration methods and tool chains
Outstanding interpersonal and project management skills
Very good people leadership skills – being able to lead and motivate teams in ambiguous environment and across a portfolio of projects
Good understanding and experience with automotive testing standards.
Experience with complex test environments
Experience working with and/or managing global teams
Experience with planning, status & risk reporting and escalation, prioritization, and global governance
Budget planning and management
Strong presentation and communication skills
Strong foundational experience with Agile, Scrum and DFSS Methodologies
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
