Overview DevOps Engineering – Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Responsibilities * Administer and optimize GitLab for source code management, CI/CD pipelines, developer productivity, and security controls. * Manage and support Jenkins automation servers, including job configuration, plugin management, and system upgrades. * Oversee JFrog Artifactory administration, including repository management, access control, artifact lifecycle, and integration with CI/CD pipelines. * Connect and cooperate with an external consulting agency providing support for the maintenance of JFrog Artifactory. * Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD workflows across R&D; teams, proposing adoption of best practices. * Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high service availability. * Collaborate closely with R&D; development teams and QA teams to foster DevOps culture and streamline engineering processes. * Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data protection requirements. R&D; Software Procurement Support * Act as the primary point of contact for R&D; teams regarding software acquisition requests. * Assist in identifying suitable software solutions based on technical, functional, and licensing needs. * Collaborate with IT, Finance, Purchasing, and Legal/Compliance teams during the evaluation and purchasing process. * Support vendor assessment, quote comparisons, license model evaluations,
and cost?agevolazioni analysis. * Maintain an updated overview of commonly used R&D; software, licenses, renewals, and consumption. * Facilitate contract renewals and ensure alignment with budget and strategic priorities. * Provide guidance to R&D; teams on software usage policies, license compliance, and procurement workflows. Experience Proven experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure role – 2 to 3 years. * Strong hands?on experience with: o GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine): cluster deployment, workload management, monitoring, networking. o GitLab Administration: runners, CI/CD configuration, project/group management, security settings. o Jenkins Administration: pipeline creation, plugin management, performance tuning. o JFrog Artifactory: repository setup, permissions, integration with CI/CD tools. o Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes concepts, and container orchestration. o Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, automation, and DevOps best practices. o Experience in Linux systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
