Role Overview
IT Business Partners are members of the Management Information Technology and Systems (MITS) office, responsible for maintaining daily communication and collaboration with academic schools and administrative departments, and for delivering localized, responsive IT services, consultancy, and feedback. Acting as a representative of the MITS Office, the IT Business Partner aims to enhance the overall IT user experience for faculty and PhD students, and to ensure the smooth, reliable, and efficient operation of the University’s teaching, research, and administrative activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1.Provide IT desktop support and services for faculty, staff and PhD students, including but not limited to computer hardware and software, peripheral devices, printers, networks, and application systems.
2.Deliver IT operation and maintenance services for general laboratories and professional computer laboratories.
3.Collect and process various IT needs of the school and administrative center, including but not limited to annual IT budget requirements, training needs and project requirements, translate pedagogical or research needs into practical IT solutions, and promote and implement them in collaboration with other teams and departments.
4.Organize and deliver IT-related training activities in accordance with the needs of the school and administrative center.
5.Responsible for the daily communication and coordination between the school, administrative center and the MITS Department, and provide IT consulting services for the school.
6.Support the development, promotion, and adoption of digital and intelligent tools and solutions.
7.Promote awareness of information security, data protection, and IT compliance requirements within academic schools.
8.Other tasks assigned by superiors.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in computer science or related field with at least two years of relevant work experience;
2. Experience in maintaining, managing, installing, and configuring user computers;
3. Fluent English ability, CET-6 or IELTS 5.5 or above;
4. Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills in both Chinese and English;
5. Experience in IT project coordination and management;
6. Team-working, transparency spirit, patience, and interest in learning new technologies;
7. Overseas education or work experience is preferred.
