Overview Job Title: Document Controller Location: Milan, Italy Project Type: Data Centre Construction Duration: 6-12 Months Start Date: In 2-4 Weeks Language Requirements: Fluent in English; Italian is a strong advantage We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our team on a high-profile data centre project in Milan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all project documentation in accordance with project requirements, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with internal and client standards. Responsibilities * Set up, manage, and maintain the document control system for the data centre project. * Ensure all project documentation is filed correctly and available to relevant parties. * Receive, log, distribute, and track all incoming and outgoing documentation (drawings, RFIs, submittals, method statements, etc.). * Maintain version control and document numbering systems. * Liaise with engineers, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to ensure document flow is smooth and timely. * Prepare regular reports on document status,
outstanding reviews, and deadlines. * Ensure compliance with QA/QC processes and audits for documentation. * Support project team in compiling handover documentation and final project deliverables. * Assist with administrative tasks as required by the project management team. Requirements * Proven experience as a Document Controller on large-scale construction or data centre projects. * Familiarity with construction documentation workflows and processes. * Strong proficiency in document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Procore, Viewpoint, Asite, or similar). * Excellent organisational and time-management skills. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong communication skills – fluent in English (spoken and written); Italian is highly desirable. * Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team.
