An established and growing international business operating within the renewable energy sector is looking to appoint anAccountant & Tax Specialiston a6-month fixed-term contractto support its finance team during a key period of growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you'll play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and supporting wider finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and review accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local accounting standards and internal procedures.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice management and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyse financial data to support management reporting.
Assist with tax compliance, including VAT returns, withholding taxes, tax filings, and supporting documentation.
Liaise with external tax advisors to ensure all accounting and tax obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Support tax audits by preparing and providing the required documentation.
Assist with intercompany accounting activities, including transfer pricing documentation.
Maintain accurate accounting, tax, and corporate records.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial and tax regulations.
Contribute to continuous improvements across accounting processes and procedures.
Provide accounting and tax support to internal stakeholders across the business.
About You
You'll be a proactive finance professional with a solid accounting background and experience working within a commercial environment.
Requirements:
Diploma in Accounting or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics.
3-5 years' experience in accounting, tax, or finance.
Strong knowledge of VAT, withholding taxes, and tax compliance processes.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Able to work independently while building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential financial information.
Fluent written and spoken English.
