Construction and Industrial Services Project Engineering Manager

Lead the construction and Industrial services scope execution and coordinate contribution of all stakeholders (from project brief until agreed sustained performance is achieved) by managing a cross‑functional team whose objective is to oversee the capital investments relating to the company’s fixed assets. This could involve the relocation and optimisation of the existing fixed‑asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. It must extend from the initial conceptual studies through to project closeout.

Responsible for ensuring smooth start‑up of all industrial services to ensure optimal generation and distribution of utilities for the factory operation, i.e. electricity, steam, refrigeration, water and eluent treatment, hygienic air handling and compressed air.

Responsible for delivering new/extension/modification of buildings in compliance with local regulation and people safety and hygienic standards.

Duties

Organise project execution and manage budget.

Manage third parties such as general contractor, technical client, and system integrator according to regulation, standards and norms.

Properly manage project documentation (technical instruction / SOP…) and digitalise per group standard.





Issue the project‑specific User Requirement Specification (URS), integrating standard URS from TAP/Utility & Corporate functions.

Coordinate third‑party contractor tender and work allocation, and achieve FAT, SAT, commissioning and close snag list.

Control project communication, especially for environmental aspects with local authorities.

Ensure consistency between progress reports and execution, control and validate deviation & variable orders.

Requirements

Consistent previous experience (10+ years) in complex construction sites and knowledge of industrial services in manufacturing environments, and supervising others in operating manufacturing projects management in an international environment for the entire project lifecycle (definition, budgeting, assessment, implementation) with PMI certification.

Capacity to determine methods to minimise the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (Health, Safety & Environment).

Capital investment projects management skills.

Background in civil engineering or equivalent.

Fluency in Italian and English.

Compensation Package
CCNL Industria Alimentare, Annual Base Salary €85.000,00.
