Experteer Overview

As Java UI Developer, you help shape the Java-based client infrastructure for Simcenter STAR-CCM+ in a collaborative, cross-functional setting. You will implement features, refactor code, and ensure maintainable, high-quality UI and client logic across Linux and Windows. You’ll work with UX, vertical teams, and core framework colleagues in a distributed environment, while embracing modern tooling and rigorous reviews. This role offers impact on a leading physics simulation platform and opportunities for growth in a diverse, hybrid setup.

Retribuzione / Benefits

- Design, document, and build robust, extensible software for the Java client
- Implement new features and refactor existing code in the Java client of Simcenter STAR-CCM+
- Collaborate with colleagues via Jira, Confluence, Git and Bitbucket
- Join forces with UX and vertical teams to optimize user workflows
- Operate in a modern IDE within a large, distributed environment
- Participate in peer design and code reviews
- Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests




- Navigate a large code base with hundreds of modules and millions of lines
- Occasionally travel to collaborate in person

Responsabilità

- Degree or commensurate experience in computer science, engineering or mathematics
- Expertise crafting client-server, desktop products for Linux and Windows
- Strong Java knowledge including modern features
- Experience developing Java clients in Swing/NetBeans or similar framework
- Experience with large-scale datasets and strict performance/quality requirements
- Experience with distributed version control (Git)
- Issue management using Jira or similar system
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues
