Experteer Overview

In this role you will design, analyze, and optimize steel structures for energy infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with standards. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate mechanical designs into overall solutions and support fabrication, installation, and commissioning. You’ll tackle stress, vibration, fatigue, and seismic analyses to guarantee structural performance at scale. This role offers the chance to contribute to technically challenging projects and stay at the forefront of structural engineering methods.

Responsibilities

- Perform structural and mechanical design and analysis using CAD/analysis tools (e.g., Creo, TEKLA, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD)
- Develop and review technical specifications, calculations, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Conduct stress, vibration, fatigue, and seismic analyses to ensure integrity and performance
- Collaborate with electrical, civil, and manufacturing teams to integrate designs
- Evaluate materials and manufacturing processes for structural components
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and problem‑solving activities
- Ensure compliance with EN, ISO, ASME codes and company policies




- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning
- Investigate and troubleshoot structural or mechanical issues with practical solutions
- Stay updated on advancements in structural and mechanical engineering methodologies

Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3–5 years of proven structural mechanical design and analysis experience in energy or heavy industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and relevant design codes and standards
- Experience with CAD software (Creo, TEKLA, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD)
- Ability to perform complex engineering calculations and prepare technical reports
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with project management principles (advantage)
