The Material Planner manages the short/medium‑term supply plan, coordinating with suppliers and internal functions to prevent shortages and ensure customer requirements are met. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 h3Material Planning Supply Management /h3 ul liManage material requirements according to production plans, customer demand, and MRP signals. /li liMonitor material availability and identify potential risks impacting production schedules. /li liAnalyze shortages, constraints, and supply gaps, defining recovery actions with suppliers and internal teams. /li liMaintain accurate planning parameters and ensure data quality in ERP systems. /li /ul h3Supplier Management Expediting /h3 ul liMonitor supplier deliveries and ensure alignment with requested delivery dates. /li liPerform proactive expediting of supplier orders within a 3‑month planning horizon. /li liEnsure timely supplier deliveries through expediting activities within a 3‑month supply horizon. /li liFollow up on delayed materials, elevate critical issues, and coordinate recovery plans. /li liCollaborate with Purchasing and suppliers to improve delivery performance. /li /ul h3Production Support /h3 ul liEnsure material availability for production lines according to the manufacturing schedule.
/li liWork closely with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams. /li liSupport prioritization decisions during supply constraints. /li liManage exceptions and implement mitigation actions to avoid production interruptions. /li /ul h3Inventory Management /h3 ul liMonitor inventory levels and optimize stock according to business targets. /li liSupport reduction of excess and obsolete inventory. /li liBalance availability needs with working capital objectives. /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liAnalyze material flow performance and identify improvement opportunities. /li liContribute to process optimization projects related to planning, supplier collaboration, and supply chain performance. /li liPromote standardization and best practices within the Materials organization. /li /ul h3Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) /h3 ul liMaterial availability / shortage performance /li liSupplier On‑Time Delivery (OTD) /li liProduction schedule adherence /li liInventory level and inventory days /li liExpedite activities and recovery effectiveness /li liSupplier capacity and delivery risk management /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 ul liExperience in material planning, supply chain, or production planning roles. /li liKnowledge of MRP/ERP systems. /li liAbility to manage priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills. /li liGood communication and stakeholder management skills. /li liAbility to work with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
