Experteer Overview

In this role, you join STERIS's Cybersecurity team in Pomezia to protect healthcare technology through secure software and hardware practices. You will collaborate with product teams to design and maintain secure systems, assess vulnerabilities, and support incident response. You’ll contribute to the security standards that safeguard critical devices and regulatory compliance. This is a hands‑on role at the intersection of development, security testing, and risk management with a meaningful impact on patient safety.

- Analyze CVEs from open sources for applicability to STERIS products and coordinate with product teams for impact assessments
- Develop and track software bill of materials (SBOM) and remediate vulnerabilities in SBOMs
- Identify software security vulnerabilities and work with product teams for remediation and planning
- Support product security risk assessments, requirements analysis, and test methods
- Evaluate and execute product security testing including test planning and procedures




- Perform vulnerability assessments and network scanning; conduct internal fuzz testing
- Reproduce penetration testing findings to support remediations
- Implement security controls for software embedded in products and applications
- Research new security testing techniques to improve device security
- Participate in cybersecurity improvement projects and regulatory documentation for FDA 510(k) submissions
- Respond to customer cybersecurity questionnaires and create xysqume knowledge content (FAQs, White Papers)
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Responsabilità
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or cybersecurity; at least 3 years in cybersecurity
- Minimum 1 year in vulnerability assessment and software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of Python, C/C++/C#, Java
- Experience analyzing penetration test results and recommending actions
- English level B2 or higher
