MCQUEEN Leathergoods Industrialization Specialist
In this role you will lead the leather goods product industrialization efforts, ensuring timelines, quality and production efficiency align with Alexander McQueen standards. You will collaborate across Design, Merchandising, Production, and external suppliers to optimize feasibility and traceability of finished products.
You will manage documentation, test plans, and supplier performance while driving on‑time releases and corrective actions. This is a cross‑functional, impact‑oriented position at a renowned luxury house.
- Participate in Technical Review meetings with Design and Merchandising to gather requested modifications and update technical docs
- Assess technical feasibility of product changes with Pattern Making & Industrialization Manager and suppliers, coordinating fine‑tuning of products and processes
- Manage and archive master specifications for finished products and intermediates, ensuring traceability
- Monitor production progress and ensure model releases align with agreed timelines
- Oversee industrialization activities, drive corrective actions for delays, and align Product Development, Quality,
Production and suppliers
- Manage requirements, ordering and allocation of accessories, materials and components for finished products and intermediates
- Coordinate production of cutting dies with designated suppliers
- Define, monitor, and evaluate tests for finished product quality in collaboration with Quality and Product Development
- Support Quality in analysis and approval of first production samples
- Manage and monitor budget for industrialization activities
- Prepare, update, and maintain product technical specifications and documentation
- Produce periodic reports on supplier performance
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role or LG Product Development activities
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel; knowledge of Stealth or PLM is a plus
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Dynamic with problem‑solving attitude and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers
