**Abbott Core Diagnostics** is hiring Software Engineers (Full‑Stack or Front-End) to join its team in Milan - **The role required to be in office 4 days per week**
**About the role**
As an Informatics Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing next-generation software solutions for diagnostic products.
You will work across the full software lifecycle — from requirements definition to development, testing, and post‑launch support.
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact systems, working on both user-facing applications and robust backend services within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
**Key responsibilities**
+ Analyze user and business needs and translate them into technical solutions
+ Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure applications
+ Contribute to software architecture and system design
+ Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and other R&D; stakeholders.
+ Ensure proper documentation throughout the software development lifecycle
+ Support released products and continuous improvements
+ Work in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
**Requirements**
**Full‑Stack Engineer**
+ 3+ years of experience in software development
+ C# / .NET
+ JavaScript or TypeScript (React)
+ SQL (Oracle or other RDBMS)
+ Strong knowledge of OOP principles
+ Fluent English
**Front-End Engineer**
+ 3+ years of experience
+ JavaScript or TypeScript (React)
+ Strong knowledge of OOP principles
+ Fluent English
**Nice to have (for both roles)**
+ Experience in healthcare or diagnostics
+ Unit and integration testing
+ Git and Agile methodologies (Scrum)
+ Cloud platforms (Azure preferred) – Full-Stack engineer
+ RESTful APIs
+ Cybersecurity and secure-by-design practices
+ Docker / Kubernetes – Full-Stack engineer
+ SOLID principles
