p Senior Automation Engineer (Firmware/Embedded) — Freelance | Florence p For a tech company in the payment systems sector, we're looking for a freelance Senior Automation Engineer specialized in firmware and embedded testing, to ensure the quality of products such as Outdoor Payment Terminals (OPT) and forecourt controllers. /pp What you'll do: /pulli Define test strategy and test plans from business requirements /lili Design and execute automated tests on firmware, hardware-software integration and low-level embedded software /lili Develop test software to automate regression testing and performance benchmarks /lili Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for faster releases /lili Document test plans, results and releases, managing issue tracking and versioning /li /ulp Requirements (essential):

/pulli5+ years of experience in hardware-software testing/development with structured methodologies /lili3+ years with Java or C++ /lili Degree in engineering/electronics /lili Experience in firmware testing, hardware-software integration and validation of low-level embedded software /lili Test automation frameworks (e.g. TestNG) /lili Hands-on CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI) /lili Proficiency in Linux (commands and scripting) /lili Agile methodology /li /ulp Nice to have: retail petroleum/payments sector, EMV/PCI DSS and cryptography, API testing (Postman, REST Assured) on middleware. /pp Logistics: freelance collaboration via Shakers.
