Stealth Healthcare AI Startup

p Who we are p We're an ambitious startup building clinical AI software for the European healthcare market (and beyond). We use AI at its best - thoughtfully, responsibly and where it can make a meaningful difference - and give our team the best possible tools and equipment to create the greatest possible impact. We're looking for a Software Engineer who wants to own features end to end and help shape both the product and how we build it. /pp What you'll do /pulli Design, build and ship features across the stack: backend services, APIs and user-facing interfaces. /lili Integrate AI components (LLMs, agents, pipelines) into a real product, with real constraints on correctness, latency and traceability. /lili Use agentic coding tools as part of your daily workflow, with the judgment to know when to trust them and when not to. /lili Contribute to architecture and product decisions: in a small team, your voice counts from day one. /li /ulp What we're looking for /pp Requirements /pulli3+ years of professional software development experience. /lili Willingness to work full-stack, with genuine curiosity to pick up new tools, languages and technologies quickly. /lili Solid habits around automated testing, code review and CI/CD: quality as a practice, not a checkbox. /lili Interest in, or hands-on experience with, the professional use of agentic coding tools. /lili Autonomy and proactivity: we care deeply about the quality of how we work, and at this early stage not everything is defined yet. You'll play an active role in shaping the processes and practices we need as we grow. /lili Willingness to work in a regulated space:

building health software comes with regulatory and compliance requirements, and handling them well is part of the engineering job. /lili Strong collaboration skills and empathy: you communicate openly, give and receive feedback well, and actively help keep the team culture healthy. /lili Effective written and spoken communication in English: it's our working language. Italian is a plus, not a requirement. /li /ulp Nice to have /pulli Knowledge of and experience with Rust. /lili Hands-on experience integrating and managing LLMs in a product, and making their output reliable and measurable. /lili Experience developing medical device software under MDR (Medical Device Regulation) certification. /li /ulp Why join us /pulli You'd be one of the first engineers on the team, working directly with the founders. The architectural decisions you make now will stay in the product for a long time. /lili Small team, fast decisions. Your impact is measurable from month one. /lili Full remote (EU, CET±2) or hybrid in Milan. We care about what you build, not where you sit. /lili Permanent contract and stock options: we want you to own a piece of what you're building. /lili You'll work on a real problem in a large, underserved and fast-growing market. /li /ulp Compensation /pp RAL €60,000 - €80,000 gross annual salary, plus stock options. /pp We welcome applications from people of all genders, backgrounds and experiences. If this role excites you, but you don't tick every box, apply anyway: we'd rather hear from you. /pp This announcement is addressed to all genders (L. 903/77, D.Lgs. 198/2006). /p /p
