Junior Firmware Engineer brThe Firmware Engineer, reporting to the Team Leader, will be involved in the complete hardware and firmware design of digital electronics, from the initial phase (component selection, resource estimation) up to the digital design for programmable devices (FPGA and SoC, CPLD, microcontroller)brDefinition of Technical specifications, hardware requirements and implementations for digital designs targeting FPGAs and SoC, CPLDs, microcontrollers; brDesign, verify through simulation, validate and debug high speed digital design targeting FPGA devices (VHDL code) ; brCustom IP design for microcontroller implemented in FPGA (VHDL) and related driver (C code); brFirmware design in C code targeting microcontroller devices; brSimple software application in C/C++ code (software for SoC design and test applications); brMaintenance and debug of existing projects; brDevelopment of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware; brCollaboration with other team members (including optical, hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc.



brDegree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering br~Knowledge of Hardware Description Language for FPGA design, VHDL (preferable) or Verilog br~ Knowledge of Xilinx and Altera/Intel FPGA design suites (ISE, Vivado, Quartus)br~ knowledge of C/C++ for embedded microprocessors or microcontrollers br~(Nice to have) knowledge of system modeling tools (Matlab/Simulink)br~(Nice to have) experience on image processing algorithms br~(Nice to have) experience on software drivers for Windows OS or Linux OS br~ Good knowledge of written and spoken English br~ Availability for sporadic national and international travels brbrContratto : tempo pieno, Apprendistato brIl nostro processo di selezione si basa sul principio base di favorire l’uguaglianza professionale promuovendo principi di non discriminazione basati sul genere, età, etnia, nazionalità, disabilità, religione, orientamento sessuale, stato civile ed appartenenza o meno a organizzazioni sindacali o politiche
