For our site in Bergamo, we are looking for a **Finance Controller** As a Finance Controller, you will support the monthly US GAAP closing process for our Italian entities in close collaboration with FMC’s Global Accounting COE in Ireland. You will ensure compliance with local statutory and tax regulations, manage annual filings, and work closely with teams in Ireland and Geneva, staying up to date with compliance changes. **What you'll do with us**: - Partner with FMC’s Accounting COE in Ireland to support FMC Italy’s US GAAP closing process and ensure financial accuracy.
- Manage communication with Italian directors on financial processes and handle finance-related queries for the local team.
- Oversee key financial areas such as revenue recognition, rebate accruals, OPEX, and statutory financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting requirements, maintaining reconciliations between US and local GAAP ledgers.
- Lead external statutory audits, support tax audits, and handle ad hoc statutory filings.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay informed on regulatory/accounting changes, implementing updates as needed. **Your qualification & attributes**: - Over 5 years of relevant experience, including working in matrix organizations, to navigate cross-functional teams and processes.
- A locally recognized accountancy qualification is required, ensuring a strong foundation in Italian financial regulations.
- Extensive experience with Italian GAAP and local tax laws is essential for ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- Familiarity with US GAAP is necessary to manage financial processes in alignment with FMC’s global standards.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with SAP are crucial for handling complex financial data and reporting.
