ppAre you a Senior Planning Engineer with a track record developing and monitoring projects schedules on major oil and gas projects? Do you have experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams on offshore projects? /p pHill International is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support the expansion of a major offshore oil and gas complex in Libya. The project will be managed from Milan and the successful candidate will be required to have the right to work in Italy. /p pAs the Planning Engineer on this project, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely execution of all phases - from engineering to procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover. You will support the Project Manager and Project Service Manager by providing schedule forecasts, progress updates, and delay analysis, enabling proactive project management. /p h3Role and Responsibilities /h3 h3Schedule Development Baseline Preparation /h3 ul liDevelop the Project Master Schedule in line with the Project Execution Plan (PEP). /li liEstablish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity coding in coordination with project disciplines. /li liDefine critical path activities and key project milestones. /li liEnsure alignment of the schedule with cost control, procurement, and engineering deliverables. /li /ul h3Progress Monitoring Control /h3 ul liMonitor actual progress versus the baseline schedule. /li liUpdate schedules periodically (weekly/monthly) with real progress data. /li liIdentify schedule deviations and propose recovery/mitigation plans. /li liMaintain progress curves (S-curves) and manpower histograms. /li /ul h3Coordination with Project Teams /h3 ul liLiaise with engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and offshore teams to collect progress data.
/li liIntegrate subcontractor schedules into the overall project schedule. /li liEnsure offshore and onshore execution schedules are aligned for critical interfaces. /li /ul h3Reporting Analysis /h3 ul liPrepare weekly/monthly schedule reports for management and the client. /li liPresent updated Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis. /li liHighlight potential delays and recommend corrective actions. /li liProduce "look-ahead" schedules for short-term planning. /li /ul h3Delay Change Management /h3 ul liPerform schedule impact analysis for change orders and variations. /li liSupport claims preparation with time impact analysis (TIA). /li liMaintain records for extension-of-time (EOT) submission /li /ul h3Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills /h3 ul liBachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. /li liWork experience of ten (10) years after earning the BSc degree. /li liCandidates should have a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in total, with at least the last 3-5 years spent on offshore projects. /li liExcellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write reports. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /li liExcellent communication and coordination abilities. /li liAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines. /li liHigh attention to detail in schedule preparation and reporting. /li liProactive in identifying and mitigating risks to the schedule. /li /ul pHill International provides program, project, and construction management services for clients in a range of sectors undertaking major construction projects across the world.
