**Role**:**Executive Assistant - Rome**:
Berkeley Research Group (BRG), headquartered in Emeryville, CA, provides independent expert testimony, advisory services and data analytics to major law firms, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and regulatory bodies worldwide. BRG experts provide sophisticated economic, financial, and analytical advice across various disciplines, including antitrust and competition policy, complex damages, finance, healthcare, intellectual property, valuation, and workforce issues. In addition, the firm assists clients in major industry sectors with compliance, business process improvement and strategy consulting. **Position Summary**:
This role will support the Managing Directors (MD) within BRG’s Rome and Milan offices. You will work on both professional and personal diary management and be key in helping them stay on track and organised across a range of different roles and projects. The Executive Assistant (EA) will effectively balance and execute both daily tasks and project-related work, and will work closely with the Workplace Services Manager to attain goals, develop effective working relationships with the internal client base, and implement processes/schedules to ensure effective and efficient operations and coordinating events with clients. This position reports to the Rome Workplace Services Manager under coordination of the Office Director. This is a full-time role in our Rome office and the individual in this role will be expected to be in the office 5 days/week, with occasional remote working being acceptable. The role is expected to grow in line with the office’s growth and expansion. **Key tasks**and**responsibilities**:
In a fast-growing business environment,



the EA will support the MD optimise their time use and enhance their effectiveness in business development, project delivery, administrative and revenue management.
- ** Planning and implementation**: the EA will be responsible for preparing and manage the delivery of the time plan-on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis-of MD. The EA will, for example, schedule and if needed reschedule appointments with clients, partners, regulators, public institutions, companies, academia etc., find and fix meeting venues, make and manage travel arrangements etc.
- **Project set up, delivery and invoicing**: The EA will assist the MD with project setup, timely and to high standard delivery of project as well as business development (BD) material (presentations, reports etc.). The EA will support the respect of projects and BD timetable (for example warning in advance on approaching deadlines project team members) as well as the adherence to company’s standard (e.g. reviewing and editing draft presentations, memos, reports etc.). EA will assist the MD with timely invoicing.
- ** Administrative** **compliance**: The EA will be responsible for compliance with company requirements (e.g., timely preparation and submission of MD timesheet, expenses refund requests etc) **Key characteristics and competencies**: - Confident,



articulate individual who is comfortable and practical supporting and communicating with senior stakeholders both within the firm and externally (i.e. with senior clients)
- Highly collaborative with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to put forward suggestions to improve processes
- Show good judgment and decision-making ability
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Experience gained in industries where time management and punctuality are critical is beneficial but not essential
- Proactive and resilient, the individual will be comfortable coaching senior individuals, maintaining the pressure required to ‘get things done’, organising senior individuals, and challenging briefs/requirements as necessary
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Teams a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information and preserve confidentiality
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and energetically embrace new responsibilities
- Proficiency in English and other EU language skills are encouraged
