/p pHill International is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support the expansion of a major offshore oil and gas complex in Libya.
The project will be managed from Milan and the successful candidate will be required to have the right to work in Italy.
/p pAs Contract Administrator you will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and management of all project-related contracts during the execution phase.
The role ensures compliance with contractual terms and conditions, manages correspondence, supports claims avoidance/defense, and acts as the focal point between project management, legal, procurement, contractors, and the client for all contractual matters.
/p h3Role and Responsibilities /h3 h3Contract Administration /h3 ul liAdminister and monitor EPC/EPCIC, consultancy, and service contracts throughout project execution.
/li liEnsure contractors' compliance with contract obligations, milestones, and deliverables.
/li liMaintain comprehensive contract files, registers, and correspondence records.
/li liReview and validate contractual notices, change requests, and variation orders.
/li /ul h3Change Management /h3 ul liEvaluate contractor change requests (time and cost impact) in coordination with project controls, engineering, and planning teams.
/li liPrepare change order documentation and ensure approvals in line with governance.
/li liTrack all variations and maintain a change register to monitor project impacts.
/li liIdentify, analyze, and mitigate potential claims by contractors.
/li liSupport negotiation and resolution of claims/disputes in collaboration with legal and commercial teams.
/li liPrepare defense documentation and maintain claims records.
/li liDraft, review, and issue contractual letters and formal notices to contractors.
/li liEnsure timely response to contractor communications within contractual timelines.
/li liSupport project management in all client and contractor contractual correspondence /li /ul h3Reporting /h3 ul liPrepare periodic contract administration reports (change status, claims, key issues, risks).
/li liProvide input with monthly progress reports regarding contractual status.
/li liMaintain KPIs related to contractual performance.
/li /ul h3Coordination Compliance /h3 ul liWork closely with procurement, cost control, planning, and legal to ensure consistency and compliance.
/li liEnsure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and project-specific requirements.
/li liProvide contractual guidance to project team members and stakeholders.
/li liSupport audits and ensure all contractual documentation is properly archived.
/li /ul h3Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Business Administration.
/li li7–12 years of experience in contract administration within the oil gas industry, preferably on large-scale EPC/EPCIC projects.
/li liStrong knowledge of FIDIC, bespoke EPC contracts, and oil gas contracting models.
/liliSolid understanding of project controls (cost, planning, risk) and their interface with contracts.
/li liProficiency in MS Office and contract management tools.
/li liExcellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
/li liCandidates should have a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in total, with at least the last 3–5 years spent on offshore projects.
/li liExcellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write specifications and reports.
