Report to: Housekeeping & Spa Manager
Responsible for: The Assistant Spa Manager / Direttore Tecnico supports the operational and strategic management of the hotel Spa, ensuring high service standards, excellence in guest experience, and full compliance with all applicable regulations (health, safety, and industry standards).
This role combines operational, managerial, and technical responsibilities, contributing to the achievement of the Spa’s financial and quality performance goals, in alignment with brand values (e.g., Hyatt: care, inclusion, service excellence).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a personalized guest experience aligned with brand standards
- Handle guest complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction
- Continuously monitor service levels and treatment quality
- Foster a guest-centric culture within the team
- Assist in planning and supervising daily Spa operations
- Ensure efficient management of treatment schedules and room occupancy
- Optimize workflows to maximize productivity and revenue
- Support inventory management and stock control
- Supervise and coordinate the Spa team (therapists, receptionists, beauticians)
- Support recruitment, training, and staff development
- Monitor individual performance and motivate the team to achieve targets
- Ensure adherence to grooming and behavioral standards
- Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and professional regulations
- Oversee treatment protocols, safety procedures, and product usage
- Verify staff qualifications and certifications
- Act as the main point of contact for inspections and audits
- Support achievement of Spa revenue and profitability targets
- Monitor KPIs (room occupancy, revenue per treatment, upselling performance)
- Assist in developing promotions and commercial initiatives
- Actively promote retail sales and Spa services
- Ensure full compliance with brand standards (e.g., Hyatt Luxury & Wellness guidelines)
- Maintain consistency in guest experience, ambiance, and Spa rituals
- Support internal and external audits
Requirements
- Beautician/esthetician qualification (mandatory for technical role)
- Certification as Technical Director (where required by local regulations)
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Wellness, or Management preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a hotel Spa or wellness environment
- Previous supervisory or team coordination experience
- Experience with international brand standards preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of facial and body treatments and Spa protocols
- Familiarity with Spa management systems (e.g., Book4Time, Opera)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to monitor KPIs and produce reports

Salary Range: € 32.000 - € 35.000 gross per year / 14 months
