Senior Mechanical Designer – R&D; Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join an established R&D; team. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing new products, improving existing designs and supporting projects through to production. Main Responsibilities * Design complex mechanical components, assemblies and products. * Develop detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings. * Contribute to new product concepts and technical development projects. * Assess manufacturability and continuously improve design solutions. * Support industrialisation and work closely with production teams. * Coordinate projects across engineering, manufacturing and other stakeholders. * Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members. Required Qualifications * Engineering degree with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience,



or a technical qualification with at least 4–5 years of experience. * Experience designing complex mechanical products, ideally within aerospace, automotive, transportation or another regulated manufacturing environment. * Advanced proficiency with a leading 3D CAD package. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, detailed technical drawings and design for manufacture. * Good problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills. * Ability to support and mentor less-experienced engineers. Preferred Skills * Experience with finite element analysis and PDM systems. * Good technical English. * Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
