In this role you will develop and support software and control logic for system-level thermal controls and optimization solutions. You will work across product development and customer projects, creating reusable software modules, GUI/HMI elements and project-specific control logic. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize platforms and enable scalable deployments. This is an opportunity to help advance Vertiv’s thermal control platforms across data centers and related facilities, delivering meaningful impact on efficiency and performance.

- Develop software and control logic for system-level thermal controls and optimization solutions
- Write, test and maintain PLC/control code using Codesys and IEC 61131-3
- Develop supporting tools, scripts and automation utilities with Python
- Configure GUI/HMI interfaces and dashboards
- Implement control strategies for hydronic and liquid cooling systems
- Develop reusable software modules and libraries for scalable deployment
- Support project-specific customization and customer requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate roadmap needs into technical software requirements
- Assist with integration with Modbus TCP, BACnet, MQTT and other interfaces
- Support testing, validation, simulation, and field troubleshooting
- Maintain software documentation and version control
Responsabilità
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience in industrial automation, HVAC controls or data center thermal controls
- Strong programming in Codesys or similar PLC environments
- Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages (Structured Text)
- Python scripting for automation and data handling
- HMI/SCADA/industrial visualization experience
- Understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators and plant-level automation
- Knowledge of Modbus TCP, BACnet and MQTT
- Ability to read control diagrams and sequences of operation
- Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment
- English communication skills
