Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally. /p h3Overview of the role /h3 pThe Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for Senior Control Instrumentation Engineers to strengthen the existing CI team; providing advisory and design capabilities across a variety of power and energy projects types and technologies in a growing portfolio, supporting our clients in the UK and across Europe as part of the energy transition. /p h3Key responsibilities and duties include: /h3 ul liWorking on projects in a variety of stages of maturity, including Owner’s Engineer, Design Review, Feasibility Studies, FEED Studies and Detailed Design. There will be opportunities for site work during project development, construction and commissioning /li liPreparation of CI deliverables such as equipment specifications, control philosophies, calculations, equipment datasheets, loop drawings, cable block diagrams, general arrangement drawings, cable routing drawings, reviewing PIDs and other process information /li liParticipation in safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA) /li liCoordinate CI delivery on multi-disciplinary project, interfacing with other disciplines, project engineer,
project manager and customer /li liWorking with the project team to develop cost-effective, efficient and innovative solutions to complex problems to create practical designs based on these solutions /li liWorking with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designs /li liSupport in developing proposals and bids for the CI discipline and contributing to multi-disciplinary proposals /li liProvide technical leadership and governance /li liA commitment to promoting health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace /li /ul h3Candidate specification – Essential /h3 pEssential: /p ul liA Degree in a relevant Engineering subject /li liChartered Engineer (or in the process of obtaining) and Member of relevant Engineering Institute /li liSignificant post graduate experience in CI technical delivery /li liThe ability and desire to assume a lead role in the development of CI deliverablesAbility to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment /li liExcellent communication skills /li liKnowledge of design and construction of power and energy projects /li liProven understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as experienced in producing calculations /li liDetailed working knowledge of national and international codes and standards used within the power and energy sector /li liExperience of working with design software packages such as Autocad,
