Data Scientist for Pricing & Underwriting
In this role you contribute to data-driven decision making within Allianz's insurance operations. You will ingest, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, and explore analytics to uncover patterns and insights. You’ll build dashboards and pricing/underwriting models and prototype AI applications to support business decisions. You work with cross-functional teams to scale analytics solutions, driving measurable impact in a global, inclusive environment. This is an opportunity to shape data strategies and advanced analytics in a leading insurance group.
- Support data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation from multiple sources
- Perform data exploration and advanced analytics to identify patterns and insights
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to monitor performance
- Develop pricing and underwriting models
- Design and prototype AI applications
- Conduct research and development to find novel technical solutions
- 4-7 years of experience in Insurance/Consulting or data analysis roles
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Math, Physics, Statistics, or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python
- Experience in developing statistical and machine learning models
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Team spirit, self-motivation, and proactive, results-driven mindset; able to interact in a global environment
