Role Description The Strategic Advisor is a volunteer, remote role that provides high-level guidance on Messina Global’s vision, priorities, and initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on strategy development, reviewing and refining program concepts, and offering insights on partnerships and stakeholder engagement.

The Strategic

Advisor collaborates with core team members to assess risks and opportunities, support project planning, and ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and values. This role may also involve mentoring emerging leaders,



contributing to thought leadership materials, and participating in virtual meetings and working sessions.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess initiatives, interpret data, and inform strategic decisions.
- Candidates should possess Consulting experience or skills to provide structured advice, problem-solving support, and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Candidates should possess Executive Management capabilities to understand organizational dynamics, governance, and high-level decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to support planning, coordination, and delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Candidates should possess Strategic Planning skills to help define long-term goals, prioritize activities, and design impactful programs.
- Experience in youth leadership, global affairs, social impact, or non-profit initiatives is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills in diverse, multicultural environments are preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate across different time zones is important.
