As an SRE Specialist with a focus on development, you will act as a strategic partner and quality gatekeeper for our software development teams.
Reliability Governance: Define, track, and enforce Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Error Budgets across development teams.
Architectural Review: Partner with software architects during the design phase to ensure new features comply with reliability, scalability, and security standards.
Development Quality Gates: Define and enforce quality gates within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring no software is deployed to production without meeting reliability criteria.
Incident & Problem Management: Oversee the post‑mortem process, ensuring development teams prioritize bug fixes and architectural changes identified during incidents.
Chaos Engineering & Testing: Design chaos engineering scenarios and game days to validate system resilience, guiding developers on how to improve their code.
Toil Reduction Strategy: Analyze development workflows to identify systemic inefficiencies and guide teams on how to automate operations. 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, SRE, or Technical Product Management with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. ~ Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices, and cloud‑native patterns (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
~ Strong expertise in establishing SLOs/SLIs, error budget policies, and continuous improvement frameworks. ~ Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing concepts (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry). ~ Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence engineering practices and mentor developers without direct authority. ~ Nice to have: experience implementing ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices at scale;
certification in Cloud Architecture or Agile Project Management; prior experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
