milestones and interdependencies with other WP's /li liEstablish the schedule and the estimates based on a viable solution, and identify the necessary resources and their availability /li liInitialise the risk and opportunity register and the work package baseline using the relevant key project tools /li liWhere applicable obtain commitments from suppliers /li /ul h3Work Package Launch /h3 ul liEstablish a network diagram and a detailed schedule which is aligned with the project master schedule /li liDefine the cost structure, resource profiles, supplier selection and the relevant metrics to monitor the WP /li liWrite relevant plans within the WP scope /li /ul h3Work Package Execution /h3 ul liAchieve the objectives of the Work Package and take the necessary management actions to correct any deviation from the baseline or objectives /li liIdentifying and solving issues, managing the risks and opportunities and performing mitigation activities /li /ul h3Work Package Monitoring and Control /h3 ul liReview document, specifications, schedule and estimate files using peers where necessary /li liMonitor consolidate all deliverables /li liUpdate the schedule, risk opportunities register, the ETC EAC /li liConsolidate the work package dashboard and lead progress meetings /li liReport as per the PMP and escalat(es) to the PM any variances or key issues /li /ul h3Quality of Deliverables /h3 ul liThe WPM is responsible for the quality of the delivered products, services and documentation within the project committed time and budget and in the scope of the work package /li liThe WPM ensures that all configuration items within the WP scope are managed (could be done by a configuration manager)
/li /ul h3Key Stakeholder Relations /h3 ul liLead the team and/or suppliers involved to perform the work package and ensures the respect of all commitments /li liParticipate and input to all relevant project reviews as specified in the PMP /li liAct, where required, as PM delegate to the Client.
/li liAct, where required, as the Thales representative for sub?contracted work /li /ul h3Capture of Lessons Learned /h3 ul liThe WPM must collect, analyse and synthesise the strengths and weaknesses during the performance of the work package, propose recommendations for improvement and record these as prescribed in the PMP /li /ul h3Work Package Closure /h3 ul liThe WPM must ensure that all the commitments taken in his work package description sheet have been honoured by collating all WP data, costs and estimates, recording them and then organise a closure review /li /ul h3YOUR CAREER AT THALES /h3 ul liFuture opportunities will allow you to discover other domains or sites.
