This includes managing interactions with external banks, orchestrating payments, and providing the foundational infrastructure for Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Additionally, the team is responsible for risk-related services, specifically credit risk management and fraud detection.

/p h3bWhat you'll be doing /b /h3 pAs a bSenior Backend Software Engineer /b in the Core Team, you'll play a critical role in engineering the backbone of our payment platform.
You will be responsible for the technical quality and delivery of complex systems that impact multiple services and product teams across the company.
/p pHere's what your day-to-day will look like: /p ul libEngineer core platform domains: /b You will contribute to the design and evolution of our most sensitive systems - such as the Transaction Ledger, Identity Access Management (IAM), or Payment Orchestration.
You'll ensure these engines remain high-performant, scalable, and "functional" for our product teams to integrate with.
/li libScale risk financial engines: /b You will optimize and implement services dedicated to bank integrations, credit risk, and real-time fraud detection.
You'll build the robust logic that protects our "source of truth" and secures Satispay's financial ecosystem.
/li libCross-team technical leadership: /b You will drive technical analysis for projects that span across multiple services.
You'll lead technical discussions and produce high-quality documentation (Smart Papers) to ensure that your designs are robust and clearly understood by stakeholders and other engineering pods.




/li libFoster engineering excellence: /b You will ensure technical quality by implementing rigorous testing strategies and overseeing safe rollouts.
You'll proactively identify and resolve technical blockers, promoting a culture of simplicity and maintainability in the codebase.
/li libMentor develop: /b You will provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
You'll help the team adopt the best tools and methodologies to accelerate development cycles without compromising on security or reliability.
/li /ul pExpect challenges, collaboration, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life.
Our tech stack includes (but it's not limited to) bPostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot /b.
We rely on bAWS /b for our infrastructure, with bmicroservices /b deployed onb EC2/ECS, S3 /b for storage, bAWS Lambda /b for serverless functions, and bKinesis /b and bElasticSearch /b for log streaming.
You'll take ownership of your work from start to finish.
/p h3bWho we're looking for /b /h3 pWe need a proven problem-solver who takes initiative, excels in cross-team collaboration, and is a technical quality champion.

/p ul libExtensive experience: /b You have at least 5 years of related experience in back-end software engineering.
You have a proven track record of working with microservices and cloud environments (AWS is a plus) in high-paced, mission-critical contexts.
/li libTechnical depth: /b You possess deep experience with Java and Spring Boot.
You have a strong understanding of distributed systems and how to manage external dependencies (like banking protocols) effectively.
/li libStructured communication: /b You are able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and convincingly.
You excel at coordinating implementations with other teams and building trust with various stakeholders.
