ppWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the core software engine of our 5G NTN /ppinfrastructure.
You are a programmer who thrives on writing high-performance, maintainable /ppcode for complex systems.
While you will operate within the 3GPP standardization landscape, /ppyour primary focus is on the design, implementation, and optimization of the protocol stack.
/ppYou will lead by example, writing clean code and establishing development practices that /ppallow us to scale our 5G satellite solutions.
/ppbKey Responsibilities /b /pulliArchitect Code: Architect and implement complex C/C++ software modules for RAN and Core Network components.
/liliPerformance Engineering: Profile and optimize critical-path code to meet the strict latency and resource constraints of satellite communication.
/liliDevelopment Practices: Use of modern C++ standards, unit testing frameworks, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
/liliCode Quality Mentorship: Lead code reviews to enforce architectural standards and best practices, mentoring team members on writing robust, thread-safe, and efficient code.
/liliDebugger: Master the use of advanced debugging tools and protocol analysers to solve deepseated logic issues in multi-threaded network software.




/li /ulpbRequired Qualifications /b /pulliExpert-level proficiency in C and C++.
/liliStrong grasp of multi-threaded programming, memory management, and data structures as /liliapplied to network software.
/liliProfessional experience with Linux development environments, Git, GDB, and CI/CD /liliorchestration.
/liliProven record of translating technical specifications into production-grade, modular /lilisoftware.
/liliMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
/li /ulpbOur Offer /b /pulliPermanent employment contract under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria).
/liliGross Annual Salary (RAL) ranging from €45,000 to €50,000, depending on the candidate's skills and experience as assessed during the selection process, plus a performance-based variable premio ranging from 5% to 10% of the gross annual salary.
/liliB2 job classification level.
