Experteer Overview Join Jacobs as a Permitting Specialist within the environmental team in Italy to drive permitting, planning, and sustainability-focused projects. You will support a Milan-based team on environmental services, ensuring compliance and high-quality outcomes across project lifecycles. The role blends technical execution with collaboration across engineers, scientists, and planners in a hybrid work setting.

You will contribute to energy transition initiatives and climate-focused efforts while upholding company standards and values. This is a unique opportunity to shape sustainable solutions for local and international clients.Responsibilities

- Provide technical support across environmental services (permitting, planning, EIA, due diligence, compliance audits)
- Contribute to environmental projects across all lifecycle stages
- Support energy transition and climate-focused initiatives
- Ensure adherence to quality, environmental management, sustainability, and health & safety standards




- Promote company values and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outcomes
- Approach tasks with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders

Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline
- 1–5 years of experience in environmental consultancy/permitting
- Solid understanding of AIA, AUA, VIA permitting regulations
- Knowledge of core EHS regulations and sustainability principles
- Strong data management and reporting capabilities
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Innovative mindset with interest in digital tools and visual communication
