ENGINEERING DIRECTOR - ELECTRICAL & ELECTROMECHANICAL SECTOR In this role you lead the Engineering function for a multinational electromechanical components producer, shaping technical strategy, governance, and lifecycle processes. You'll manage Engineering and R&D; teams, drive product development, and ensure compliance and continuous improvement across segments. You will oversee budgets, resources, and certifications, while guiding cross-functional activity with a focus on safety and sustainability.
This position offers the opportunity to influence global engineering standards and contribute to strategic product roadmaps. gross annual salary 90,000 MBO 15,000 company car for mixed use Define and execute the Engineering strategy aligned with business objectives Lead Engineering and R&D; teams, ensuring required skills and priorities Maintain and improve Engineering and Product Lifecycle processes, standards, tools, and best practices Monitor application of processes across the organization, including Technical Support Manage Engineering budget, resources, capacity planning, KPIs, risks, and project priorities Lead product development, innovation roadmaps, validation, certification, industrialization, and lifecycle management Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, environmental, safety,
and sustainability requirements Provide governance over Engineering Services (reliability, FMEA, RAMS/EN50126, product safety, homologation, certification) Provide governance over Technical Support activities (sales support, documentation alignment, drawings, FAI, coaching) Oversee product certification and technical compliance documentation, acting as signatory where required Drive Intellectual Property strategy, patent portfolio, and continuous improvement Represent the company in technical and standardization committees Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field Strong knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components and systems for industrial apps Extensive leadership experience in Engineering, R&D;, or related functions with governance of Engineering Services and Technical Support Knowledge of governance, product development, reliability, certification, lifecycle management, budgeting, capacity planning, and technical support Experience with product safety, homologation, compliance documentation, and international standards in industrial or transportation sectors Experience coordinating an international engineering network, including Best Cost Country centers Fluent written and spoken English Experience working with different cultures and willingness to travel internationally
