About North Technology Group
North Technology Group (NTG) is a global family of marine and action sports brands including North Sails, North Sails Apparel, North Action Sports, Southern Spars, Hall Spars, Future Fibres, Quantum Sails and Doyle Sails. Our centralized IT shared services function supports every brand from sail lofts to design offices, with a delivery team based in Sri Lanka and leadership in Europe.
We see AI as a practical tool for everyday work. Our teams already use Claude, n8n automation workflows, and a modern data platform built on Azure and Dynamics 365. What we need now is someone whose role is helping people actually use these capabilities.
The role
You will be our AI enablement champion. You sit with teams in sales, finance, customer service, operations and design, watch how they work, and find the places where AI can remove friction from their day. Then you build it, teach it, and make sure it sticks.
This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants exposure to how a multi-brand international business runs, not a research position. Success looks like a customer service agent in Italy triaging tickets faster, a finance analyst automating a monthly reconciliation, or a sales team getting pipeline summaries without touching a spreadsheet.
What you will do
- Shadow business teams across NTG brands to map their daily workflows and identify AI opportunities
- Build and prototype solutions using Claude (chat, projects, skills, and agents), n8n workflows, and Microsoft 365 Copilot
- Create prompt libraries, reusable templates, and Claude skills tailored to specific team workflows
- Run hands-on training sessions and office hours for business users at all levels of technical confidence
- Document what works: playbooks, quick-start guides, short video walkthroughs
- Measure adoption and time saved, and report outcomes to IT leadership
- Collaborate daily with our Sri Lanka delivery team on data preparation and integration tasks (D365, SQL, APIs)
- Track new AI capabilities from our vendors and assess where they fit our teams
What you bring
Required:
- Recent graduate (or final-year student) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Genuine hands-on experience with LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or similar) beyond casual use: you have built prompts, workflows, or small apps
- Basic scripting ability in Python or JavaScript
- Comfort with SQL and working with structured data
- Strong communication skills: you can make a technical concept clear to a non-technical colleague without jargon and without talking down to them
- Patience and empathy for non-technical colleagues; teaching energizes you rather than drains you
- Fluent written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- Experience with workflow automation tools (n8n, Power Automate, Zapier)
- Exposure to Microsoft ecosystem (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure)
- Experience with APIs and webhooks
- Familiarity with Git and containerization (Docker)
- Any teaching, tutoring, or community involvement
- An interest in sailing, watersports, or the action sports world
What you get
- Direct exposure to a global multi-brand business and its leadership
- Ownership of visible projects with measurable business impact
- Mentorship from the Head of Data & AI and the wider IT shared services team
- A front-row seat to how AI adoption actually happens inside a company
- Potential pathway to a permanent role in the Data & AI team
How to apply
Send your CV plus one short example of something you have built or automated with AI. A prompt library, an n8n flow, a small app, a Claude project, anything real. You can include this example as an attachment alongside your CV or provide a direct link to it within your CV.
Please note: Applications received without an example of something you have built or automated with AI will not be considered.
