We are strengthening our Finance Team at our Cusago (Milano) location and are looking for a
Senior Accountant - Import/Export Specialist (all genders).
In this function you take over the international trade operations, including EU and non‑EU transactions, VAT regulations, and customs procedures.The position plays a key role in ensuring compliance and accuracy across international accounting and trade processes while supporting business growth in a global environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage all accounting activities related to import/export transactions
- Ensure proper VAT treatment for Intra-EU transactions, Extra-EU transactions,Triangular and multi-party transactions
- Record and monitor sales invoices in Navision ERP
- Support and coordinate the monthly financial reporting process
- Prepare and submit Intrastat declarations
- Perform monthly VAT calculations and support quarterly and annual VAT returns
- Ensure compliance with customs documentation and regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Administration
- Monitor international shipments and logistics flows from a financial perspective
- Support commercial activities involving international clients
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or alternatively 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge of International VAT regulations, Customs procedures, Trade compliance
- Proficiency in ERP systems (ideally Navision) and MS Office
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of accountability and ownership
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment
