ppWe are looking for a bPlant Simulation Engineer /b to join a team working on next-generation virtual development and validation platforms for a major OEM. This role focuses on plant model development and simulation-based engineering for vehicle systems, with a strong emphasis on virtual test environments, model-based development, and software verification. The position sits at the intersection of system modeling, virtual ECU development, and automotive software integration, supporting early validation activities across multiple domains. /ph3Engagement details: /h3ulliLocation: Turin, Italy /liliWorking model: Hybrid /liliStart date: ASAP /liliEmployment type: Full-time, Contract or Freelance /li /ulh3Responsibilities: /h3ulliDevelop plant models for automotive systems such as sensors, actuators, e-powertrain, vehicle dynamics, braking, and related domains /liliContribute to virtual test platform development across MIL, SIL, and HIL environments /liliSupport model-based development and simulation activities using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink /liliWork on virtual and soft ECU related activities, including co-simulation, virtualization, and system integration /liliApply software verification and validation methods in virtual development environments /liliSupport troubleshooting and resolution of platform and system-level issues /liliCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on simulation, validation, and integration topics /liliContribute to CI/CD-oriented workflows for virtual platform development and testing /liliSupport early-stage development through model-driven testing, functional mockups, and proof-of-concept activities /li /ulh3Qualifications: /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering field /lili2–4 years of experience developing virtual test platforms in automotive applications /liliStrong knowledge of plant model development for automotive systems /liliExperience with physics-based or data-based modeling techniques, ideally with exposure to multibody dynamics or hydraulic system modeling /liliExperience with virtualization, co-simulation, and system integration toolchains such as dSPACE, ETAS, QTronic Silver, VirtualTarget, Model.CONNECT, VDK, Siemens, or similar /liliGood experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development workflows /liliGood understanding of embedded software development in C and C++, AUTOSAR software architecture, and auto-code generation processes /liliKnowledge of CAN and related analysis tools /liliFamiliarity with software version control /liliGood understanding of ECU architecture and the use of software emulators and debuggers /liliAbility to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues with a system-focused mindset /liliExperience with scripting or test automation tools /liliExposure to Python, VB, or VBnet is a plus /li /ulh3Nice to have: /h3ulliExperience in Linux, AUTOSAR, or Android-based development and testing environments /liliExposure to ADAS, Ethernet interfaces, and related modules /liliExperience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power or AMESim /liliFamiliarity with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS INCA /liliExperience with continuous integration, testing, and deployment practices /liliExposure to machine learning or deep learning algorithms /liliExperience with dSPACE products /liliISTQB certification /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
