In this role you will shape Klarna’s technical direction across domains to build scalable, resilient platforms. You will define architectural strategy, align cross-functional initiatives, and raise engineering standards across the organization. You will lead cross-domain execution, simplify systems, and ensure data models and APIs support global customer and merchant experiences. You will partner with product, data science, and design leaders while mentoring senior engineers and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-domain engineering strategy and execution to translate vision into scalable architectures
- Architect and evolve technical foundations, reducing duplication and standardizing data models, APIs, and integration patterns
- Set and uphold Klarna-wide technical standards for code quality, observability, reliability, and data management
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Design to align technical investments with business outcomes
- Mentor and grow senior engineers, guiding decision-making, design reviews, and career development
- Drive innovation and improve developer experience to enable platforms to adapt to future opportunities
- Recognized technical leader with experience delivering and scaling distributed systems across multiple domains
- Strategic yet pragmatic—balance innovation, speed, and stability
- Skilled in system architecture, data integration, and building observable, reliable systems
- Adept at influencing across teams and aligning stakeholders behind technical direction
