Specialista Senior / Project Manager

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will build and operate Klarna's analytical data platforms on AWS to enable large-scale analytics, model training, and downstream consumption. You will shape robust data pipelines, table structures, and access patterns, while evolving architecture for scale, security, and cost efficiency. You will lead core data processing systems using Glue, Spark, S3, Iceberg, Databricks, and Redshift, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability. You will drive cross-team architectural decisions and secure, scalable IAM models, delivering production-ready solutions that impact the data landscape across the organization.

- Build and operate analytical data platforms on AWS for large-scale batch and analytical workloads
- Design robust data pipelines, table structures, and access patterns for analytics and model training
- Evolve platform architecture, infrastructure, and AWS foundations for scale, cost efficiency, security, and reliability
- Lead design and implementation of core data processing systems using AWS Glue, Spark, S3, Iceberg, Databricks, and Redshift
- Set high code quality and operational excellence standards and model best practices




- Drive architectural decisions with a holistic view of Klarna's data landscape and cross-team dependencies
- Design and evolve IAM models, roles, and access patterns for secure, scalable data platform use
- Identify and solve complex problems related to performance, scalability, cost, security, and compliance
- Act as a technical leader in cross-team initiatives and deliver production-ready solutions
- Strong experience building analytical data platforms on AWS, including Spark-based processing and S3-backed data lakes
- Hands-on Python, distributed data processing, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Experience with Iceberg and data warehouses like Redshift
- Experience designing and operating IAM and AWS account setups for data platforms
- Product-oriented mindset focused on durable, scalable solutions
- Experience operating systems in production with monitoring, incident learnings, and iteration
