As of today, the Camlin operation spans over 20 countries across the globe. /p h3Role Description /h3 pThe Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer in the Real‑Time Applications unit is a key contributor responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cutting‑edge solutions using DSP and Microcontroller technologies. This role provides technical guidance, supports junior and mid‑level engineers, and ensures the system meets performance. This role is ideal for an experienced senior engineer who is ready to expand into people management, technical leadership, and team coordination, while still maintaining a hands‑on engineering involvement. /p h3Role Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and implement real‑time systems, including DSP algorithms and microcontroller firmware, tailored to project requirements. /li liEnsure software meets strict real‑time performance constraints, focusing on latency, throughput, and efficient use of system resources (e.g., memory, processing power). /li liOptimize performance and efficiency of signal processing algorithms and embedded systems. /li liMentor junior and mid‑level engineers, providing technical guidance, best practices, and support for skill development. /li liConduct code reviews, design evaluations, and testing to uphold high‑quality standards. /li liInvestigate, debug and resolve complex technical issues in real‑time systems, ensuring reliability and robustness.
/li liPropose innovative solutions to technical challenges. /li liDesign high quality systems which comply with regulatory standards. /li liStay updated on advancements in DSP and Microcontroller technologies to introduce innovative approaches to system design. /li liIdentify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the optimization of workflows, tools, and methodologies; contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation. /li liSupport workload planning, task prioritization, and resource allocation across ongoing and upcoming projects. /li liFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance team culture. /li liIdentify skill gaps and training needs; create personalized development plans. /li /ul h3Essential Criteria /h3 ul liProven professional experience in the design, simulation, implementation, verification and validation of embedded software on DSP and Microcontroller. /li liProven experience in programming in C++ and C languages. /li liGood knowledge of theory and usage of Real Time Operating Systems (such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr). /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving attitude. /li liExperience with peripheral standards and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, RS232, RGMII, ecc.). /li liFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python). /li liProficiency in source code revision control, especially GIT. /li liGood knowledge of agile methodologies. /li liExcellent communication, interpersonal,
and organizational skills. /li liFluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. /li liDemonstrated experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring other engineers. /li /ul h3Desirable Criteria /h3 ul liGood knowledge of SHARC or equivalent DSP architecture. /li liGood Knowledge of build systems (CMake). /li liGood knowledge of theory and design of complex digital electronic circuits and digital signal processing algorithms (FFT, digital filters, re‑sampling, ecc.). /li liProficiency with GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, Artifactory. /li liExperience with application layer protocols, such as MQTT, Modbus, HTTP/S, SSL/SSH and more. /li liExperience in the use of laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generators). /li liKnowledge of electronic components and PCB reworking. /li liFamiliarity with FPGA technologies, in particular AMD Xilinx. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liDaily food vouchers for days worked in person in the premises. /li liTraining Support: We offer financial assistance for your training and development, based on company discretion.
