ERASMUS+ INTERNSHIP in COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCES - Few-shot deep learning models for automated segmentation of cultural heritage settlements
Location: Center for Cultural Heritage Technology, Roncade (Treviso), Italy
Duration: 6 months
Start date: 15/09/2026 (flexible)
Commitment & contract: Full‑time internship (40 hours/week). Requires an undergraduate master’s degree programme student in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a cognate field.
Compensation: No salary. Applicants rely on funding from their university’s Erasmus+ programme.
The Role
During your internship you will work on a project in the Cultural Heritage Technologies group, coordinated by Arianna Traviglia, focusing on Remote Sensing Technologies.
Your activity will comprise:
- State‑of‑the‑art models report preparation
- Remote sensing data understanding
- Software development of few‑shot learning models
And will allow you to develop competences in:
- Software management (e.g., Git use)
- Types of data in remote sensing
- Use of PyTorch and/or HuggingFace
Essential Requirements
- Registered as a student in an undergraduate master’s degree programme in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a cognate field of study for the entire duration at IIT.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Funding from your University’s Erasmus+ programme.
