What you'll be doing
As our Backend Software Engineer II - Consumer Growth Domain, you’ll be the person who plays a key role in shaping the future of digital payments by designing and building scalable features that drive user growth, reduce friction for new users, and create sustainable value for our community. Here’s what your day-to‑day will look like:
- Contribute to the Story Lifecycle: Work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, and release robust product stories, taking responsibility for your features from local development to production.
- Accelerate Activation & Trust: Build and optimize the high-reliability systems behind onboarding, document verification,
and security flows, ensuring users can start transacting safely within minutes.
- Drive Engagement & Discovery: Enhance the app experience by developing core backend services for shop discovery, transaction management, and personalized consumer journeys through CRM integrations.
- Scale Loyalty & Monetization: Contribute to our "Plus" subscription plans, referral programs, and loyalty mechanics (points and rewards), building the technical foundation for long-term user retention.
- Master a Modern Tech Stack: Take ownership of our AWS-based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and participate in architectural improvements across our growth-focused microservices.
- Work in an AI-Powered Environment: Leverage AI tools daily to write and optimize code, speed up root cause analysis, and generate documentation, raising the bar for engineering efficiency.
