As a Senior Accountant specializing in Import and Export at Dywidag, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our international trade operations. What you'll do

- Oversee and manage all accounting functions related to import and export activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both local and international regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the financial performance of import/export operations.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable related to international transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with international tax regulations affecting import/export activities.
- Conduct regular audits of import/export transactions to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.




- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting staff on import/export accounting practices and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting international trade, and advise management on necessary adjustments.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on import/export operations or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations, including VAT and customs duties.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal,



with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian or other languages is an advantage.

Nice to have

- Experience in a manufacturing or construction industry is a plus, given Dywidag's focus on these sectors.
- Familiarity with international trade agreements and regulations, including Incoterms.
- Previous experience in a multinational company with exposure to diverse accounting practices.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with process automation tools and technologies in accounting.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with financial reporting software and tools for managing import/export documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
