This role combines market development, opportunity pipeline ownership, commercial execution, and strategic partnership building to accelerate growth across key Data Center segments. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Ecosystem Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain high‑level relationships across the entire value chain: /li liOwners Developers /li liEngineering Consultants Specifiers /li liEPC Contractors /li liDesign Build Companies /li liGeneral Contractors /li liBuild long‑term strategic partnerships to secure preferred vendor positioning. /li liAct as a trusted advisor, influencing decision‑makers in technically complex environments. /li liRepresent the company at industry events, forums, and strategic meetings within the Data Center ecosystem. /li /ul h3Specification Influence Technical Positioning /h3 ul liEngage at early project stages to influence specifications in alignment with the company’s solutions. /li liCollaborate closely with the Application Engineering team to: /li liDevelop tailored technical solutions /li liContribute to technical documentation and specification development /li liEnsure alignment with Data Center standards and best practices (e.g., Tier classifications, redundancy concepts, reliability, energy efficiency). /li liSupport technical workshops, seminars,
and training sessions for consultants and key stakeholders. /li /ul h3Funnel Ownership Commercial Execution /h3 ul liBuild, manage, and continuously develop a robust opportunity pipeline across all project phases. /li liEnsure disciplined CRM management, accurate forecasting, and structured reporting. /li liQualify opportunities strategically, prioritizing high‑value and high‑impact projects. /li liLead commercial negotiations in coordination with internal stakeholders. /li liDrive contract closure and ensure smooth handover to execution teams. /li liDeliver against defined growth and revenue targets. /li /ul h3Strategic Market Development Growth Acceleration /h3 ul liSupport the definition and evolution of the business development strategy by bringing structured insights from the market, including customer needs, emerging trends, and growth opportunities. /li liIdentify and unlock new revenue streams across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge segments. /li liDrive market penetration and increase share within mission‑critical infrastructure projects. /li liPosition the company as a strategic technology partner for high‑availability and resilient infrastructure solutions. /li liMonitor market trends (sustainability, energy efficiency, redundancy standards, uptime requirements, modularity, etc.) and translate them into actionable growth initiatives. /li /ul h3Strategic Partnerships Joint Ventures /h3 ul liIdentify potential partnership, alliance, and joint venture opportunities within the Data Center ecosystem. /li liEvaluate business cases for co‑development of market‑specific or customized solutions. /li liSupport negotiation and structuring of partnership agreements.
/li liContribute to the development of dedicated product offerings tailored to evolving Data Center requirements. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field (Engineering background is highly valued). /li li5+ years of experience in Business Development within the Data Center, Critical Infrastructure, or related technical sectors (e.g., power distribution, cooling, building technologies, electrical infrastructure). /li liProven track record in specification‑driven sales and complex project environments. /li liStrong understanding of Data Center project lifecycle and mission‑critical infrastructure dynamics. /li liExperience working with Owners, Consultants, EPCs, and General Contractors. /li liProficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and structured pipeline management. /li liExcellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. /li liFluent in Italian and English. /li liDeep understanding of hyperscale and colocation market dynamics. /li liPrevious experience in project management. /li liStrategic thinking combined with strong execution capability. /li liStrong financial acumen and business case evaluation skills. /li liAbility to operate in cross‑functional and matrix organizations. /li liHigh level of autonomy, accountability, and entrepreneurial mindset. /li liStrong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capability. /li /ul pbTravel: /b Up to 75%. /p pbContract: /b Full‑time, Permanent. /p pJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re‑use.
