Global Corporate & Commercial Italy is the unit of Generali Italia S.p.A. that develops insurance services for medium and large corporate clients.
You will join the Construction & Bonds and Risk Engineering & Loss Prevention team within GC&CI; Underwriting, focusing on Construction insurance across Italy and international markets.
You will contribute to the global underwriting strategy and support the achievement of both growth and profitability targets.
Main tasks:
- perform underwriting and portfolio management activities in line with the Engineering governance framework, ensuring the achievement of top- and bottom-line targets
- underwrite Construction risks, including CAR, EAR, IDI, DSU and Decennial Liability
- actively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the insurance and reinsurance markets and support product development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- university degree in an engineering discipline, such as Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- at least five years' experience as an Engineering/Construction Underwriter for corporate business, or within a relevant engineering company
- good communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international environment
- ability to work independently and in teams, with a commercial and negotiati
