The Internship will be based in Naples, Italy,



within the Traction & Auxiliary Control Engineering Department, in line with a defined training plan and learning objectives.
Internship Purpose / Objective
The internship is designed to offer a structured learning experience within the Control & Propulsion Systems team, allowing the intern to apply academic knowledge in an industrial environment and to gain exposure to control systems, electric drives, and power electronics used in railway applications.
Description of Internship Activities
- Support the understanding of technical requirements and system architecture related to control and propulsion systems.
- Assist in modeling and simulation activities of electric drives and power converters using academic tools (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink).
- Support the analysis of basic control strategies and algorithms for electric machines, in line with university-level concepts.
- Observe and assist in testing and validation activities, including Software-in-the-Lo
